Description

Title of the project: "Statistical Foundations for Learning and Clustering in High-Dimensional and Complex Data". The research activity focuses on the development of advanced statistical methods for learning and prediction in complex and high-dimensional data. The postdoctoral researcher will investigate mixture and mixture-of-experts models with flexible concomitant effects, matrix-variate distributions, and dimension reduction techniques for structured and multi-way data. Emphasis will be placed on modelling unobserved heterogeneity, scalable estimation procedures, and theoretical properties of the proposed methods. The project includes the development of computational algorithms and inferential tools for supervised and unsupervised learning.
