Description

The research programme is articulated along four complementary axes: (1) application of vision-language models (VLMs) and large language models (LLMs) to document understanding and OCR, with a focus on multilingual and multi-scriptsettings, including non-Latin scripts and low-resource languages, and on the design of pipelines for large-scale OCR dataset construction and release; (2) natural language interfaces to structured data, with specific attention to text-to-SQL systems and LLM-based approaches to data management, entity matching, and entity resolution; (3) LLM safety, alignment, and the analysis of over-refusal phenomena,including the development of evaluation frameworks; (4) agentic architectures built on LLMs, encompassing planning, multi-step reasoning, and evaluation of the reliability and safety of autonomous agents.
