Description
The activity is aimed at developing new polymer formulations as alternatives to polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and/or suitably modified PET formulations, capable of ensuring improved mechanical performance in terms of stiffness and strength, while maintaining an adequate production cost. Phase 1: The most promising polymers (bio-based or conventional) and additives for the intended application will be identified, sourced from the market, and used in the laboratories of the Department of Industrial Engineering to produce small batches of material through melt compounding.
