Description

The activities are part of the multi-year project DISCO-T1D, funded by Breakthrough T1D, aimed at improving detection and quantification of circulating non-coding RNAs (small and long) in blood to identify novel biomarkers for Type 1 Diabetes and trace their cellular origin. Activities include small and long RNA profiling (NGS/PCR/Nanopore), sample and workflow coordination, mechanistic origin-tracing analyses integrating RNA data with clinical metadata, and contribution to manuscripts and dissemination. Ideal candidates hold a PhD in molecular/biomedical sciences, have hands-on NGS and bioinformatics experience (R/Python), and are comfortable with translational datasets.
