Description

The SOIL project (Grant Agreement 101139785), funded under HORIZON Europe, aims to consolidate the European industrial ecosystem for FDSOI (Fully Depleted Silicon On Insulator) technology. The position focuses on the development of artificial intelligence-assisted systems for the automatic generation of layouts for components and chips in CMOS FDSOI technology. Activities include the design and implementation of AI/ML algorithms for the optimization of integrated circuit placement and routing, with particular attention to integration with existing design flows and the industrial objectives of the project.

An evaluation committee appointed by the Director of the DIMES Department assesses candidates holding a PhD (or equivalent foreign qualification). The selection consists of an evaluation of submitted qualifications and publications, followed by an oral interview. The call is published on the institutional website of the University of Calabria. Selection is based on qualifications and interview. The following are evaluated: (a) relevance of the study path to the activities of the position; (b) previous research activities in AI, machine learning and integrated circuit design; (c) relevant scientific publications; (d) oral interview to assess suitability and knowledge of the English language. Maximum total score: 100 points.
