Description
The research project aims to systematically analyze the clinical outcomes and permanent complications of thyroid surgery, with particular attention to permanent hypoparathyroidism and recurrent nerve lesions, as part of the diagnostic-therapeutic care pathway (PDTA) for thyroid disease. The work will include the analysis of clinical data from the prospective registry of the Policlinico Umberto I in Rome, with the aim of identifying predictive factors for complications, developing risk stratification models, and defining clinical quality indicators useful for European accreditation of referral centers for endocrine surgery.
