The activities will be aimed at developing advanced 3D cellular models for testing bioactive compounds from the Mediterranean Diet and innovative drugs in oncology. The first objective will be the morphological and molecular characterization of 3D models derived from tumor cell lines or patient biopsies, evaluating their biomimetic fidelity to the tumor in vivo. These platforms will be used to map the cytotoxic efficacy profile and the modulation of specific oncogenic pathways induced by the bioactive compounds. The second objective will be to select innovative drugs and dietary molecules with the greatest synergistic potential, analyzing their ability to overcome chemoresistance and induce tumor suppression. The genetic and epigenetic data obtained will guide the identification of predictive biomarkers of therapeutic response for personalized oncology approaches
