Outdoor motion capture for studying interpersonal interaction
Scientific-Disciplinary Group
09/IBIO-01 - Bioengineering
Description
The project aims to technically validate a new outdoor motion capture system—combining satellite receivers and inertial sensors—and explore its application to interpersonal interaction between multiple subjects in ecological contexts. An initial series of experiments will focus on the technical validation of the device (accuracy and precision) with reference to the state of the art. Specifically, the device's ability to reconstruct spatial trajectories and joint kinematics (pose) under a variety of conditions (walking, running, accelerations, and changes of direction) will be studied.
