Description
Title of the project: "Artificial Intelligence and Distributed Ledger Technologies in Deliberative Assemblies: Democratic Risks and Legal Informatics Design Methodologies". Candidate will research the impact of AI and DLT on deliberative assemblies (parliaments, regional councils, municipal bodies) and governing institutions, examining how these technologies may erode institutional identities, the competencies of elected bodies, and democratic representativeness. AI and DLT operate at the administrative level, yet may grow sufficiently powerful to induce the political level to delegate de facto critical decisions to the operational tier. There is a risk that the concentration of data amplifies existing power imbalances, curtailing the ability of minorities and dissenting voices to monitor democratic quality. Conversely, AI and DLT offer opportunities to strengthen public participation, fact-checking, and policy traceability..Omissis.
