Description

Title of the project:"Supporting resilience and empowerment processes within the trans community and their families through participatory action research". The research project aims to support resilience and empowerment processes within the trans community and their families through two The participatory action research (PAR) pathways: one involving parents of young trans people and the other involving young trans people. The focus is on the analysis of experiences of stigma, social isolation, and stereotypes related to trans identities, as well as on the individual and collective resources that may promote well-being, social recognition, and mutual support. The project aims to produce situated knowledge coconstructed with participants, valuing their experiential expertise. The studies also seek to identify processes and practices that may help counter internalized transphobia and stigma, strengthen family support, and foster the development of community networks.
