Description
Stress management within a romanticrelationship is a complex process that requires open communication, the ability toexpress and negotiate one’s needs, and dyadic coping skills - all of which are recognizedin the literature as protective factors for individual and relational well-being. In stressfulsituations - whether everyday (e.g., balancing work and family life; shared management of domestic workspace) or related to critical events (e.g., illness; caregiving) - couplesmust coordinate in distributing limited resources, such as time, space, and attention. These processes take on particular relevance in the contemporary context, where workand private life tend to intertwine, amplifying the risk of imbalances, misunderstandings, and asymmetrical overloads.
