Description
The candidate will have to carry out the following applied research activities: 1) the development of asolution for the mitigation of intense solid transport and wood through flexible and environment-friendly retention works located upstream of the Chievo intake, 2) the definition of indications aimed at increasing both the safety and the continuity of production of the hydraulic works of Chievo based on the data collected and the simulations carried out. The expected results of the medium-term project are to make the Chievo work safer with respect to floods with high wood content and intense solid transport, through the development of innovative methodologies, in a context of climate change that increases the frequency and intensity of extreme events, which put this type of river works to the test and in perspective make them particularly vulnerable...
