Description
The researcher should work specifically in the WP3 and WP4 activities (along with the other WPs) of the MedPROACT project. The activities will be related to assess multiple impacts related to climate change on bioindicator species the pilot areas of Secche della Meloria, Capo Milazzo MPA and Egadi Islands. Specifically, the researcher should carry out the sampling and laboratory analysis to evaluate microplastics (including microfibers), emerging contaminants and biomarkers responses in the bioindicator species selected as well as in abiotic matrices. The researcher should integrate the results into an early-warning evaluation system of climate change-related impact on marine biodiversity in order to design specific mitigation and adaptation actions.
