Description

The BE READY NOW project aims to strengthen the European Union’s preparedness and response to infections with epidemic and pandemic potential. The project focuses on building a European research infrastructure that integrates randomized clinical trials and observational studies. The initiative includes the creation of a network of clinical trial sites and research centers that can be rapidly activated in case of a public health emergency or when funded by the European Commission. The role of the University of Verona (UNIVR) is to contribute to the development of this research infrastructure and to coordinate a European multicenter experimental clinical trial focusing on therapeutic aspects of an infection with pandemic potential, with arboviral infections preliminarily selected as the target area.

The competition will be carried out by an evaluation of titles and examination by means of an interview. For admission to the selection process referred to in Art. 1, potential candidates must fulfil the following requirements: a) PhD or Medical Specialization title;b) Master’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery, Biology or Nursing [Laurea Magistrale o a ciclo unico awarded pursuant to Art. 3(1n), Ministerial Decree no. 270 of 22/10/04];c) Possession of a scientific-disciplinary curriculum suitable for carrying out the research activity envisaged in this announcement;d) Knowledge of the following foreign language: English requiring good written and spoken proficiency;e) Other requirements: documented research and/or development experience in the disciplinary sector: MEDS-10/B Infectious Diseases.
