10/ITAL-01 - Italian Literature

Description

The aim of this study is to explore the role of the teacher in the narrative production of Italy, also to identify the presence of positive or negative models that inspire teachers in their work and in their awareness of their role. Starting, for example, from the novels of Edmondo De Amicis to the narratives about school of Domenico Starnone, and those of the extreme econtemporary (e.g.. Christian Raimo, Cristina Frascà), the work will also highlight how changes from the Casati law onward and the evolution of pedagogicale methods have progressively redefined the role of the teacher, influencing creative productions in various ways. This will allow us to identify the types of teachers characters present in Italian narrative that have shaped the role, also with the aim of enhancing a fundamental awareness of Teacher Education for those who are or are about to be teachers of literary subjects in middle or high school.
