Development of Artificial Intelligence Models for the Reliability and Maintenance of Energy and Industrial Systems and Structures - 2026_IPD_DENG_5
Scientific-Disciplinary Group
09/IIND-07 - Thermal Sciences, Energy Technology, Building Physics And Nuclear Engineering
Description
The research activity will be conducted within the framework of the PRIME project, funded by INAIL through the 'BRiC-2025' call, and will focus on the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) models for automated anomaly detection in energy and industrial systems and structures, fault diagnosis, and component remaining useful life prediction, for reliability and maintenance purposes. Compared to the state of the art, the innovation will consist in the integration of advanced AI techniques to manage multi-source data, estimate the uncertainty associated with assessments and predictions, utilize both field and simulated data, and provide interpretable results, thereby consolidating trust in the use of AI solutions. The successful candidate will also collaborate on teaching activities within the courses delivered by the LASAR3 group in Master’s degree programs, focusing particularly on AI for the Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety (RAMS) of systems, plants, and stru
