Description

The successful candidate will develop a research programme on housing policies and practices, with a focus on public housing neighbourhoods in the western area of Milan. The research will examine the relationship between the management trajectories of public housing and the urban transformation processes currently affecting the sector, including the regeneration of brownfield sites, the financialization of housing market, and their effects on housing affordability and the social cohesion of the city.Within this framework, the successful candidate will support the establishment of a neighbourhood-scale Living Lab focused on housing quality, aimed at strengthening the capacity for action and intervention of social actors and local institutions, developing collaborations and partnerships.The research will be carried out within the activities of Off Campus San Siro and will contribute to the 2026–2028 Three-Year Plan on the theme of housing vulnerability.
