2026-IpdDip-03-medmol - Study of the structure, pathogenic folding and proteotoxicity of amyloidogenic light chains
Posted on: 06/07/2026
Deadline: 06/08/2026
Scientific-Disciplinary Group
05/BIOS-07 - Biochemistry
Description
The candidate will study the mechanisms of immunoglobulin light chain toxicity related to the acquisition of amyloid structure and aggregation, using in vitro models. The work will involve the development of cellular models and the use of cell biology and microscopy methods. Furthermore, the candidate will be involved in the production of recombinant proteins and their analysis using spectroscopic and microscopic analyses. The project will also involve the analysis of protein samples using proteomic techniques based on gel electrophoresis and mass spectrometry.
