Study of sustainable means and strategies for the control of fungal pathogens of the main diseases

The research project consists of four phases: 1. Taxonomic characterization of microbial antagonists and mapping of genes for antibiotic synthesis. 2. Identification of microorganisms and natural substances with inhibitory activity against phytopathogenic fungi.3. In vitro and greenhouse efficacy tests to evaluate the stability of treatments.4. In-depth study of active biomolecules and action mechanisms to optimize protective efficacy and sustainability in agriculture.The integration of these strategies aims to define a plant protection model with low environmental impact, capable of preserving soil biodiversity, protecting consumer health, and guaranteeing the productivity of the main agri-food chains in accordance with international directives on sustainability
