Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa – Call for a postdoctoral position at the lnterdisciplinary Research Center on Sustainability and Climate

The activity includes the biomechanical design of mechatronic replicas of biological models, as well as bio-inspired and conventional underwater robots, to be deployed in both laboratory and field environments. Activities related to underwater robotics will include the development of bio-inspired robotic replicas for swarm collaboration studies, as well as traditional robotic platforms for autonomous operations, including in extreme environments. Availability to participate in field campaigns is required. Activities related to mechatronic replicas will include the design of high-fidelity soft systems for applications in agricultural robotics, medicine, and education/entertainment. The candidate will also be jointly responsible for the management of technical and scientific research teams (researchers, PhD candidates, and students), while interacting with industrial partners, including healthcare companies.
