Reconstruction and study of PHerc. 1049 and 152/157

The activity is part of the FIS LACUNA project (www.lacuna-fis.com) and involves the critical study of two Herculaneum papyri, PHerc. 1049 (unpublished) and PHerc. 152/157 (Philodemus, On the Lifestyle of the gods), the latter in collaboration with the current editor of the scroll, Holger Essler. The candidate, who will work on the originals held at the Officina dei Papiri Ercolanesi in Naples, will focus on the digital reconstruction of the scrolls and on the material, philological, and philosophical analysis of selected fragments, producing partial editions. The candidate will also contribute to the project's scientific and dissemination activities
