The tecnologist performs supporting activities for the following tasks: Disease assessment in the field by visual monitoring and hyperspectral imaging; installation of spore traps and collection of trapped samples; isolation and identification of plant pathogens in the laboratory; isolation of nucleic acids from different matrices; application of diagnostic assays based on real-time PCR; preparation of samples for mycobiome sequencing and fungal community profiling; data analysis with bioinformatic tools; organization and management of data; preparation of data and materials for scientific publication.
