Description
The programme envisages the mapping and comparative analysis of the major European “translation traditions” of Petrarch’s poetry, from the early modern period to the twenty-first century, with the aim of investigating the transnational dynamics of the “language of love”. It includes the creation of parallel corpora, the historical-critical analysis of translation strategies and of the “imaginaries of translation,” as well as the development of a digital platform for the synoptic visualisation of translations.
