The ERC Starting Grant project FICTA – Fictional and Impossible Entities, Counterpossible Reasoning, and Thought Experiments. A Study of Medieval Theories of Impossibility and Their Contemporary Relevance investigates the role of fictional and impossible entities, counterpossible reasoning, and thought experiments in medieval philosophy, with a particular focus on their relevance to contemporary philosophical debates in metaphysics, logic, and the philosophy of language.
