Geotechnologies and participatory governance processes for the integrated management of coastal zones and maritime space in Italy and Europe.

The research project relates to the relevant fields set out in the descriptions of the disciplinary scientific group 11/GEOG-01-Geography and the SSDs GEOG-01/A and GEOG-01/B.The researcher must demonstrate the ability to take the initiative in interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research activities. By analysing, with complete freedom of research, the world and the constructions of meaning that human groups have created in coastal areas, the researcher’s work – utilising a multi-scale approach – aims to advance the assessment of the sustainability levels of different coastal land uses and participatory governance processes for Integrated Coastal Zone Management in Italy and Europe. Solid expertise in the use of spatial data analysis methodologies and GIS systems is required.
