The research activity consists in the study, development, and application of methodologies and models for the reliability and safety assessment of nuclear plants and complex high-risk industrial systems, and of algorithms for the prediction of their operating conditions and optimal maintenance. Specifically, the activity will address the study and development of methodologies of system analysis, physical, logical, probabilistic, and predictive models, computational methods, artificial intelligence and machine learning, and advanced simulation techniques for the aforementioned purposes.
