Sustainable catalytic processes for the production of energy vectors and chemical 2026_RTT_DENG_2
The project aims to develop new sustainable catalytic processes for the production of energy carriers and chemicals. The research activities will be carried out through an integrated approach encompassing the synthesis and optimization of catalytic materials, the investigation of reaction mechanisms also by means of advanced spectroscopic techniques with spatio-temporal resolution, the determination of reaction kinetics and of the relationships between structure, activity, and stability of the materials employed, as well as catalytic reactor modelling.In particular, the work will involve the synthesis and characterization of catalytic materials; the execution of kinetic tests aimed at quantitatively assessing their performance and developing kinetic models, including detailed ones; and the modelling of heterogeneous catalytic reactors suitable also for highly exothermic reactions.
