Development of a vibrational-based control strategy of insect vectors of plant pathogens

This project aims to develop an integrated behavioural manipulation strategy that exploits substrate-borne vibrations, isolated from plant-feeding insects and natural enemies, to reduce host plant suitability for insect vectors and consequently minimize the pathogen transmission risk. The strategy will be optimized for ornamental and horticultural production systems.
