Photoluminescence and Raman spectroscopy of III-V nanowires for quantum photonic applications

Within the ERC StG project NANOWHYR (grant number: 101042349), we will investigate and tune the optical and electronic properties of III-V nanowires integrated with Silicon. We will exploit the main advantages of nanowires, such as their capability to be monolithically grown on Si with high quality or to be transferred to it post-growth, via micromanipulation, and we will combine them with the tunability of optical properties enabled by hydrogen in N-based semiconductors. We will use micro-photoluminescence, also time-resolved, Raman, (also in near-field regime), and auto-correlation measurements to probe quantum dot-like states.
