Developement of numerical methods for landslide analysis

The research project aims to develop scientific and technical-operational activities within the framework of technology transfer. Specifically, it focuses on developing and validating advanced methodologies for the predictive analysis of landslides. The scientific activity will address the entire evolutionary process of landslides, from the pre-failure to the post-failure phase, through the implementation of variable-complexity methodologies. This approach will enable the simulation of the triggering, propagation, and potential reactivation of landslide phenomena—particularly rainfall-induced ones—providing essential quantitative tools for landslide risk mitigation, infrastructure protection, and territorial safety.
