Comparative evaluation procedure for n. 1 research contract - Department of Cultural Heritage

Title of the project: “Integrated bioinformatic analysis of modern and ancient genomic data to investigate the microevolutionary history and genetic structure of the Iblean population” - The researcher will contribute to a multidisciplinary project aimed at studying the historical and biological characteristics of the population of the Iblean region (Sicily) in relation to the natural environment, to understand how much the past influences current conditions. The research activity will concern the bioinformatic analysis of data obtained by whole genome sequencing (Whole Genome Sequencing, WGS), microarray and DNA methylation analysis, with particular reference to genomics and population genetics studies. Skills are required in the analysis and interpretation of genomic data from modern samples and ancient DNA samples, as well as in the use of bioinformatics pipelines for quality control, data processing, and integration..Omissis.
