The research contract holder will conduct scientific work on Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) of metals and polymers. Tasks include planning and carrying out experimental trials; acquiring and synchronizing machine, process, optical and acoustic monitoring data; and correlating these data with ex-situ quality information obtained by computed tomography. The researcher will develop data pipelines, quality metrics, and data-driven and machine-learning models for anomaly detection, quality prediction, and process-parameter optimization.
