HUMANITIES - 42° Cycle
The PhD course in "Humanities", which is proposed for renewal after being accredited for the XXXVIII cycle, offers a course of advanced training divided into three curricula: "Philology and Literature of Antiquity", "Modern and Contemporary Cultures and Literature" and "Cultural Heritage".The course reflects an integrated and complex idea of the humanities understood as a set of knowledge interconnected at a synchronic, diachronic and methodological level, as well as open to the new digital contexts. The high level of training in philology, literature, history, art history, archaeology and demoethnoanthropology is in fact enriched by the mutual contacts between disciplines, ranging from antiquity to the contemporary age in a perspective of innovation and digital transformation. Furthermore, the comparison with the international academic context is promoted with a view to exchange and mutual relations.
