Preparation and characterization of nanoparticle-based drug delivery systems for bone regeneration - Ref. 81/26/IR

Il project focuses on the preparation and characterization of hybrid polimer nanoparticles (polymer/lipid - polymer/inorganic) for drugrelease, to be applied in bone regeneration. Particles may be obtained with different techniques and characterized via standard andinnovative methods, to achieve particles of small size (200-300 nm), good encapsulation efficiency (10-30%) of drugs or biomolecules capable fo stimulating bone regeneration and/or reducing local inflammation. Particles may be combined with retention systems (such as hydrogels or scaffolds) for local administration.
