Developing inclusive models for multimodal interactive technologies - 2026_IDR_DEIB_60
The project investigates the development of inclusive models for interactive multimodal technologies that explicitly account for the diversity of users' cognitive, sensory, and interaction capabilities. Rather than assuming a homogeneous user population, the research explores adaptive multimodal approaches capable of supporting accessible and personalized interactions across therapeutic, educational, and everyday contexts. The project integrates multimodal artificial intelligence, human-centred design, and participatory methodologies to develop interactive systems that are robust, interpretable, and aligned with the needs of clinicians, therapists, caregivers, and people with cognitive disabilities, promoting inclusive and effective human–technology interaction.
