Design, preparation and processing of functional inks based on 2D materials for 3D printing - Ref. 86/26/IR

This project aims to develop multifunctional printable inks based on solution-processable 2D materials for advanced additive manufacturingwithin the MORPHEUS Research Innovation Action. The research will focus on the scalable synthesis and surface engineering of graphene, MXenes and transition metal dichalcogenides, followed by the formulation of stable, rheologically optimized inks compatible with 3D printing. The relationship between ink composition, printability, microstructure and functional performance will be systematically investigated to produce complex architectures with tailored electrical, mechanical and sensing properties. The developed materials will enable the fabrication of next-generation multifunctional devices for wearable electronics, healthcare and smart systems, contributing to MORPHEUS by providing sustainable, high-performance material platforms for digitally manufactured functional components.
