Models, methods, and decision support systems (DSS) for the design and management of advanced intralogistics solutions

The project aims to develop, validate, and apply original models and methods for the design, management, and optimization of material-handling solutions and four-way shuttle-based automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS). Validation and application will be conducted through real-world case studies, and the potential development of decision support systems (DSSs) will also be assessed.The list of activities:• Literature review on models and methods/algorithms for the design, configuration and management of automated solutions in material handling and warehousing.• Dashboard design for industrial applications• Development and validation of robust models, methods and DSS based on optimisation and simulation approaches.• Application to real case studies• Multiscenario analyses
