Analysis and demonstrators of Eurobalise universal programming equipment, after the refinement of on board Odometry and Balise Transmission Modules for the European Vital Computer

The candidate will take part to the implementation and validation of a programming device for the buoys located between the rails (balise) of the european railway network. Such a programmer will be a component of an experimental unmanned vehicle developed by RFI. The Key performance indicators to be addressed by the candidate with his/her skill and competence are: • Real time performance based on LP-firmware combination • system safety to be achieved through in-process diagnostics, redundant architectures, fusion of sensors like encoders and accelerometers and graceful performance degradation upon fault detection• integration and flexibility levels based on SoC design• compliance with ERTMS-ETCS specifications.The required activity includes design and testing of demonstrators, as well as the interaction with external service providers (e.g. pcb design and prototype construction based on ARCES designs).
