The KLOE-to-SAND project in the DUNE experiment and the KLOE experiment contributions to CP/CPT symmetry violation physics
The research will focus on:- studying the performance of the SAND detector, and in particular the renovated calorimeter of the KLOE experiment, and their contribution to the search for CP symmetry violation in neutrino oscillations. The electromagnetic calorimeter of the KLOE experiment is currently undergoing renovation, testing, and commissioning as part of the KLOE-to-SAND project, which involves the transfer of the KLOE magnet and calorimeter to Fermilab as part of the SAND Near Detector of the DUNE (Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment) experiment on neutrino oscillations.- analyzing data collected by the KLOE experiment at the DAFNE collider at the INFN Frascati National Laboratories, to highlight quantum effects in the decays of entangled pairs of neutral K mesons in channels characterized by CP violation, and sensitive to possible CPT symmetry violations.
