Molecularly Designed Polymers for Sustainable Agriculture

AGRIPOLYS is an European-funded project developing sustainable polymer materials to enhance agricultural productivity while reducing environmental impact. Through a multidisciplinary and intersectoral approach, the project will design fully biodegradable, functional polymers for applications including controlled agrochemical delivery and plant and seed treatments. Their performance,biodegradation and soil fragmentation will be assessed under greenhouse and pilot-scale conditions. By combining academic and industrial expertise from 11 research teams across Europe, AGRIPOLYS will train young researchers in the development of advanced, sustainable polymer materials for agriculture.
