PFAS removal by adsorption and ozonation processes - 2026_IDR_DICA_16
The activities include: (i) conducting a literature review to support the experimental activities and the interpretation of the collected data; (ii) performing treatment tests on synthetic and real PFAS-contaminated water using ozonation, adsorption, and combined treatment processes; (iii) developing a method for monitoring the progressive exhaustion of activated carbon without relying on liquid-phase analysis; (iv) processing and interpreting data obtained from laboratory experiments; (v) processing and interpreting monitoring data from pilot-scale and demonstration-scale treatment systems; (vi) developing the methodology for the environmental risk assessment; (v) preparing reports on analytical results and presentations for periodic project meetings.
