Electro- and photocatalysts for sustainable CO₂ valorization

The research activity is focused on the synthesis and advanced characterization of electro- and photocatalytic materials for the sustainable valorization of CO₂ into value-added chemicals and e-fuels. Catalysts based on inorganic and hybrid materials will be synthesized and optimized to enhance their catalytic activity, selectivity and stability. A comprehensive multi-technique characterization approach, including X-ray diffraction, electron microscopy, IR and Raman spectroscopy, surface area and porosity analyses, and electro- and photochemical techniques, will be employed to investigate the structural, morphological, surface and electronic properties of the synthesized materials.
