The research project aims to design, synthesize, and characterize innovative nanostructured catalysts for the conversion of CO₂ into value-added chemicals and fuels. The project involves selecting the most promising materials currently under study by the research group and deepening our understanding of the most promising category. The catalysts will be characterized using spectroscopic, diffractometric, and microscopic methods to correlate their structure, composition, and chemical-physical properties. Catalytic performance will be evaluated in hydrogenation and CO₂ valorization reactions, with particular attention to selectivity, stability, and efficiency. The results obtained will enable the identification of structure-activity relationships useful for the rational design of new high-performance catalytic materials for applications in the energy and sustainable chemistry sectors.

Mandatory requirement for admission to the selection: italian Laurea Magistrale, or Laurea a Ciclo Unico, or an equivalent degree from foreign Universities, obtained no more than 6 years prior to the application deadline (i.e obtained after 13/10/2020).
