Synthesis and characterization of inorganic porous framworks

The research activity will focus on the preparation of microporous materials (zeolites). The synthesized materials will be characterized using standard physicochemical techniques (X-ray diffraction, thermal analysis, volumetric measurements, and compositional analysis) to assess the success of the synthetic procedures. The most promising materials will then be investigated using advanced spectroscopic methods to evaluate their interactions with simple probe molecules representative of their potential applications in adsorption/separation and catalysis.
