Synthesis and characterization of polymeric nanoparticles based on lipoic acid derivatives for the delivery of bioactive molecules and nucleic acids. In particular, the project will include: the synthesis of polymerizable precursors, ionizable lipids and lipid-polymer conjugates, the preparation and characterization of nanoparticles, the study of their biological properties in collaboration with several research groups operating in the fields of biology and medicine.
