The research programme is linked to MAPS, a European Union-funded project involving ten African countries and supporting 40 master's and doctoral research projects conducted by African students. lts aim is to improve the health of internal migrants and refugees, with particular attention to vulnerable groups, including women, pregnant women, children, ethnic minorities and persons with disabilities. The research will integrate and enhance the findings of the 40 projects through a cross-national analysis and an assessment of the transferability of individual interventions. It will examine the health effects of environmental disasters and climate change, as well as the links between health, human rights, access to care, equity, employment, housing, education and social inclusion, using quantitative and qualitative methods. The researcher will also help develop the students' research skills and support their scientific and professional growth through supervision and guidance.
