Clinical and Biochemical Predictors of Treatment Response, Weight Loss, and Hepatic Fat Reduction in Patients with Obesity Receiving Different Pharmacological Treatments
Obesity is a chronic, multifactorial disease associated with an increased risk of metabolic complications, including hepatic steatosis and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD). Although pharmacological treatments can induce substantial weight loss and improve metabolic health, treatment response varies considerably among individuals, and the clinical and biochemical factors underlying this variability remain incompletely understood. Identifying predictors of treatment response may support a more personalized therapeutic approach. This study will investigate the association between baseline and treatment-related clinical and biochemical characteristics and the magnitude of weight loss and hepatic fat reduction in patients with obesity receiving different pharmacological treatments. The identification of reliable predictors may improve patient stratification and contribute to treatment selection and optimization in clinical practice.
