The research activity concerns the development and characterization of miniaturized optical systems forin vivo monitoring of neuronal activity through calcium imaging.

Title evaluation
Master Degree in Physics Demonstrated expertise in physics applied to life sciences, biophotonics and optical microscopy.Experience in the design, implementation, alignment and characterization of optical and optomechanicalsystems for fluorescence imaging. Experience in the development of miniaturized microscopes orcompact optical devices for in vivo measurements, with particular reference to functional neuroimagingbased on fluorescent calcium indicators. Knowledge of calcium-imaging techniques, fluorescenceexcitation and detection systems, and of the main issues related to optical signal acquisition in animalmodels.
