Study of cellular and functional mechanisms of emotional contagion
Support for research activities aimed at investigating the cellular mechanisms and neural circuits involved in emotional contagion in experimental models characterized by altered pain perception. The activities will include recording neuronal activity using miniature microscopy (miniscope) in animals performing emotional-contagion tasks, combined with pupillometric measurements as indicators of autonomic and emotional responses. The aim will be to identify specific neuronal populations and activity dynamics associated with the sharing of emotional states.
Selection process
Both Italian and non-Italian applicants may take part in the selection who meet the following requisites, which are both mandatory:- to have completed a Master's or single-cycle degree in Biology, only if they attained their degree no more than 6 years before the application deadline;- to have carried out at least 2 years of post-graduation research activity in the above-mentioned scientific field.Applications are also welcome from those in possession of a qualification attained abroad and recognised as being equivalent to the above mentioned Italian qualification.
