From formal equality to gender anti-subordination: legal sources, courts and public policies in the Italian legal system and from a comparative perspective

The research aims to analyse the evolution of the principle of equality, from its formal and substantive dimensions to the progressive emergence of the principle of gender anti-subordination in contemporary constitutional law. Through an examination of legal sources, case law and public policies, the study seeks to explore the role of institutions in removing structural conditions of disadvantage and promoting gender equality, both in Italy and from a comparative perspective
